this thanksgiving i am particularly thankful for coffee.
and to not sound like an insensitive bitch, i will add the typical mushy emotional junk about being thankful for my friends and family.
for i would be nothing without them. In chinese philosophy the self is defined as its relationships and connections to others.
~
Many humans aspire to be virtuous. In confucianism, virtuosity is the highest aspiration. Becoming virtuous is nothing that can be gained, but grows out from a properly structured network of relationships in the family and comes from knowing one's place in a relationship.
yeeaaaahhhh....virtue comes from a properly structured family? haha we have almost no chance.
dear diary,
do i even aspire to be virtuous?
i heard virtue does not lead to happiness. in fact, following my sensuous will leads to happiness..... hehehe
and since the rewards and punishment system of getting into heaven and avoiding hell does not hold me back...
